Harris is a gazelle Shifter who is being sent to live with his aunt who has never felt like he fits in. His Aunt lives in a town he has never been to, the town of Morningwood, an entire shifter community of many kinds of different shifters, with NO humans. A very sweet story of his desire to acclimate and accidentally falling for an older shifter and finding his way in the town. Great beginning to this new series told with her usual sweetness, humor and sexiness. loved it!
Harris Bovidae got kicked out by his mother because her human husband doesn't know about shifters. Luckily he has an aunt to go live with in a town full of shifters, named Morningwood. In this new town, his true nature is encouraged and he will be attending classes st the university in town. The university where the Dean, Andrew Boothe, turns out to be a tempting, forbidden Alpha that Omega Harris cant seem to ignore. Can their may/December, predator/prey love find a way?Sweet, sexy, hilarious and just a touch of angst/drama. I loved this new series by Kiki Burrelli! I have to wonder how Morningwood manages to maintain the level of political and social isolation that they've established. And with that isolation/freedom, why would they allow Harris' mother to be permitted outside if she was such a threat to the keeping of their secret? For them, I would imagine that threatening exposure as she did would be just as bad as yelling 'fire' in a crowd, and would be just as legally punishable.
I really liked this book, however it's sequel is better. Despite one glaring part of the story I loved all the rest. Due to that one thing I reduced what would have been a 5 star rating to 4. I thought the author did an exceptional job of creating all the wonderful people in this book, many who were in book 2 of the series that I had already read. I also love this world of Morningwood (Giggle) that she has created and given life too. I am certainly hoping we will get more books in this series (I hope to see Dusty's story, if he ends up being Bi or Gay and hopefully more!)
May / December, Predictor / Prey along with the added burden of being Alpha and Omega. Then being Dean and student with a nutty mother makes for entertaining reading.......Enjoy.
It was a good story. Thought out and well done. Not over the top and the world is so worth reading the next one. I look forward to it.
I really enjoyed this book! The story line was interesting and the characters very likable but then it’s a Kiki Burrelli story so you expect it be good! Hoping for more!
