2 Stars. I am really sorry I bought this one. I cannot understand why an author has to repeat one problem on every page of the book. We get the first 20 or 30 times. I usually like this author....NOT this time
I loved the fact that the characters turned to their faith without becoming preachy. They are very relatable and realistic characters. Very well written. I can't wait to read her next book in the series!
Enjoyed reading a good, clean, Christian love story from a wagon train trail to Santa Fe. Look forward to reading the rest of the series. I was disappointed that the reviews from book.two has given away too much information about the character involved and the plot of the story. I won't be reading any more reviews. Please don't give us the details!
It just seemed bland to me. The story was predictable, the writing shallow. Don't tell me that the sun rose, make me see it as if I am there. Draw me into the lives of the characters. Invite me to join the wagon train.
I love books about wagon trains and this book didn’t disappoint. This was a fun, easy read and look forward to reading book 2!
Donna Grace future was shattered when she found out her husband and father of her unborn child, was still married to a previous wife and her own unborn child is illegitimate. She determines to take a wagon train west and start life over, but the wagon master refuses to allow an unmarried woman to travel with the train. Luke blames himself for the death of his fiance and vows never to fall in love again, but he overhears Donna Grace's problem and suggests they have a marriage of convenience and then get it annulled when they get to Santa Fe. As they start west the learn a lot and face many problems, with many surprises, shocks, and problems. Will they make it, and how will they end the marriage.I received this book as an ARC and this is an honest review. After the first page, I couldn't put it down until I finished it, and then I wished there was more to the story.
Linda Ford always crafts a good story and this one has some engaging twists. Grace is a wonderful heroine with pride and determination to move forward. The hero is so well drawn that I ached for the Happily Ever After. Linda Ford is a storyteller who seems to care about getting the history correct.
A very good inspirational story about a young woman that is in a marriage of convinence and finds love with him
